I have:

No Rest for the Wicked (Immortals after Dark, Bk 2)

Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night (Immortals After Dark, Bk 3)

Both by Kresley Cole

These are the hardcover versions, both have their dustjackets and are in good shape (I've been the only owner). I'd like to mail them to the same place so anyone wanting both please send me a PM and make sure they're on your WL!

I'm actually hating to get rid of these (this series is great) but I have all the rest of them in paperback so I'm just gonna trade these hardcovers and find the paperbacks later. But to anyone wanting to collect the hardcovers - here's your chance!

I have an unpostable copy of Julie Kenner, Deja Demon (got water damage in and near the pool, but is readable). I'll send it as a freebie with an order off my shelf.

I also have:

Never Resist Temptation: Miranda Neville

Flat-Out Sexy: Erin McCarthy

DIane - I'm pretty sure Debbie meant that *she* accidentally posted in the wrong place and edited her post.

I have Susan Donovan's Girl Most Likey To..

I recieved this book last week, it has very wavy pages, but doesn't look like water damage, (not stiff and no water type stains) I asked in the other forum and they told me it was probably from cheap paper, and a lot of new books look this way.  So, I'm calling it postable from other members advice.

Beth,

Now that you mentioned this wavy pages thing, I have quite a few newer books that have this, but I just doesn't seem to be water damage.  I haven't posted any of the books because I didn't want there to be a problem.  They look to be in excellent condition otherwise.  I don't see any staining or stiffness, just a little wavy on the edges in some places.

Weird!

I left a  new paperback book in my car on a very hot day.  No water anywhere near it and I ended up with wavy pages.  I guess the humidity from the air was enough to make it expand.  I won't do that again.

I have an unpostable copy of Darkness Unknown by Alexis Morgan. As I was thumbing through it to send to a wisher, the spine cleaved. I will send it with an order from my shelf which is 2 for 1 and the unpostable which will be 3 for 1.

I have an unpostable copy of Beauty: a Retelling of the Story of Beauty and the Beast by Robin McKinley.  This particular ISBN has no copies in the system, and the other editions are WLed.  Unpostable because it has been taped up quite a bit on the spine, but the pages are all solidly intact.  Free with any order from my shelf, and take a look at more unpostables in my profile.  :)

Sticking this here because it can pertain to WL books:

http://www.paperbackswap.com/forum/topic.php?t=159114

It's a thread from the CMT forum where someone asked the PBS team about asking for credits for unpostable books.  Looks like the answer is you CAN do that, just not post them to your shelf.  It's fine with them if someone wants to pay a credit for an unpostable because they'd know what they're getting.

Thanks for posting that Sarah, very helpful!

I wouldn't mind unpostable copies of  certain books on my wishlist.. particularly those that are keepers for me.   If people know that they can advertise and get a credit for unpostables more swappers might offer hard to come by books!

I wouldn't mind either, depending on the book and what makes it unpostable!

I wouldn't mind giving a credit for unpostables on my WL either. Most of the time I can still swap them at my UBS so I'm not really out anything.

I definitely wouldn't mind either.  If someone knows why it's unpostable and agrees that that's okay with them, why not pay a credit for the book?

For me, it would depend on the book and how unpostable it is.  I might be okay with some minor water damage or part of the cover damaged/missing, but I wouldn't waste a credit for a book that was falling apart, badly stained, or severely water damaged, no matter where I was on it's WL.

I don't mind either especially if it is just a little water damage.  I have a lot of books that have very very slight water damage that I do not post.  The water damage consists of a little waviness on the edges that almost looks like someone picked up the book after washing their hands and not drying them completely.  I am guilty of having done this myself since I have two little kids and frequently wash my hands, although I am aware if it and try not to do it.

Getting a book like this would not bother me in the least.

I have one wishlisted book that has a lot of pencil markings where someone marked their place in the book.  It is a significant amount of marking usually about 1 cm in length or less, but some pages have up to 3 marks.  This happens to be a wishlisted book I received from here, but didn't notice this until I started reading the book and have to say it annoyed the heck out of me.  I don't know if this would bother someone else though.  Needless to say, I have not reposted it.
