If I put my shelf on hold to catch up with some of the books that I have in my tbr and to build back up my shipping fund, do I loose my place in line for books if say I am 75 out of 100?

I think you may have to put your books on Auto Request first, then put your shelf on hold. Then you will still get the offers. Then again, putting your bookshelf on hold may not even affect offers coming in?

You still keep moving up the line.  But it will pass you over on books that aren't on autorequest when you reach the top spot.  When you come back on hold you will return to the top spot or whatever spot you've worked your way up to.  If you still want to receive WL books you will have to put them on autorequest. I would just put the ones I'm near the top for on auto and let the others move up the line.
