I only have 7 titles on my wishlist but have been offered 3 of them in less than 2 weeks!!!  Do lots of wishlist  books hit like this?  I have kept my WL short cause I usually have less than 7 credits in my balance.  So now I see that if I put lots of books from my reminder list onto  my WL I'd probably be short on credits when they come up, right???

I currently have 55 books on my wishlist and 1 credit.  It really depends on the types of books on your wishlist.  Current popular fiction moves quickly, but my wish list is populated by odd ball books that don't come up often.   When one does, if I don't have a credit I buy one from the kiosk.  That works for me.

You can also add books to your WL then put them on individual hold. You'll keep your place in line and just get passed over if you get to the top.  Then  if you are short on credits you can pick and choose which books you want to wait for when they get near the top and unhold others as you earn credits.

Yeah, I'd get your WL filled up and watch where you are in line.  Once you get to the top, if you don't have the credits, you can put those individual books on hold.  Once you do have credits, then unhold the book and wait for it to be posted.

I've got around 10 credits.  I'm sitting at #1 for probably 8 books right now.  Not that I think most of them will ever get posted but a few eventually will.

Most people have way more books on their WL than they have credits for.

It all depends on what you read and how long you've been in the WL. MMPB tends to move faster also (I have a MMPB recently released where I'm #195 and I have an estimate of 4 weeks because 50+ are being posted a week.)

I have around 50 books on my WL on hold. I never have more than 10 credits so once a book gets to #2, I put in on hold and unhold it when I'm ready to read it. :)

I usually have the majority of my WL on hold. I usually have credtis but I have a lot of series books on there for author's I haven't tried yet.  So I put them on hold until I read one I have already.  Sometimes I put in hold as a "punishment" to myself for having too many books and keep it on hold until I read and post a certain # of WL books.  Right now I have my whole account on hold because I'm moving soon.  I can't change my address yet and I don't want any books going lost or getting returned.

Oh and then I'll put my WL on hold if I'm doing one of DG's challenges where we get more pts if we acquire less books during that time.

Jeanne, sounds like you have the ideal situation to use the individual wishlist hold feature!
