So on my wishlist, if I'm in position 1,2 or 3, I set it to auto request... If I'm in 4 or more, I just leave it at 48 hour offer. (I dont know why.. I'm just weird) So a few times while I was browsing through my WL seeing if I moved up in position for any books, I see that on some of the ones I have autorequested, I'm now in 4th position. But the book hasnt been posted recently or anything. This has kept happening and instead of it being like that on 1-2 books, its now at least 10.
I guess my question is: How did people cut in front of me? As far as I know, the WL system isnt like the swapadvd one, so I thought on here it was based on who wishes it first/earliest. |

When members have their account on Vacation Hold, they are removed from the WL numbers. When they put their accounts back on Active status, they are placed back into the WL line in the position they were in. This may be what has happened here. Lots of members probably had their accounts on Hold during the holiday season.

Also, if a WL book goes lost, or if it is RWAP, they go back to the front of the line. |

Nobody will ever get in front of you that wasn't there before. From the Help Center: Why did I move *backward* on my Wish List? This happens when another member who was "ahead of you" in line previously (and who got an offer of the book already) gets back into line, for one of several reasons:
Please be assured that we would NEVER put another member ahead on the Wish List without good cause--in order to go ahead of others on the Wish List, a member MUST have Wish Listed that item earlier (on an earlier date) than they did. [eta: since this HC doc was written they have also made it automatic that a book marked Received, but with a Problem will be put back on the member's Wish List.] Last Edited on: 2/2/11 8:43 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |
