Topic: Wishlisted book on my shelf

Several days ago I posted a book on my bookshelf. This book shows up 10 different times in hardcover alone on the club wishlist, with more than 100 people wishing for it. Yet my copy of the book is just sitting on my shelf. Can anyone think of any reason it is not going to one of those people wishing for it? Is it really possible that I have an 11th version of this book--different from the 10 already up there? I hate that the book is just sitting here when there are so many people that want it.

Are you checking it by the ISBN? If not the ISBN isnt the same as what is on WL.There is a thread in the Book Bazaar Forum for WL books with different ISBNs post there and you should get a result. |

It is most likely you have a different ISBN then the ones wishlisted. What you could try is posting in the book bazaar. There is a forum topic there called "August Wishlisted Books With Different ISBN" If you post in there someone may see it and grab it. |

I thought I read that if the same book was available but with a different ISBN/binding that a message went to the first person on the list in case they wanted that book. did I read wrong? did I confuse it with another swap site? |

Leslie if a book that is not WL gets posted a form email goes to every person with a similar version on their WL. Some people turn those off and some people ignore them. Also sometimes they dont get sent because the title is slightly different. |
