I wishlisted a book August 2008 finally got around to being no1 in Sept 2009 ,offered the book,  got denied and shoved back on the list. I just  relooked the book up to see if there was any other versions available and there is. Hopefully there isn't any more snags. My mom doesn't get it she is just like buy the book. I refuse to . I want it free. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Got denied? Because of RC?  That would have put you back as 1 on the list. 

 I am in that group that believes that the books we swap here do have a value, at least the cost of Minimum Media Mail charges of around $2.30 or so.  A $.01 book at amazon is worth $4.00 because there is the $3.99 postage charge there. If you buy a credit for $3.25 or so that puts it all in the same cost.

If you can get a book for $5 all inclusive, go for it. That's more than fair.

No I have no RC.I got it offered, I accepted it, ten they cancelled order .  It is worth $11 new. I want it for "free" on here. I am hopefully getting it soon.

Yes, this has happened to me too.  I accept but the other swapper doesn't get it together to mail the book.  A disappointment for sure.  I have been having alot of these lately and am hoping things get back on track by later this fall. 

Another thing that is really disturbing for me is the 4 books that have been declared lost in the mail THIS MONTH.  WTH.  In three years and over 900 books there have only been 4 others lost in the mail.  I don't want the admin to think I am not picking up my books or marking them received.  I am on here 5 or 6 times a day.  I keep wondering if the books ever really got mailed.   Oh, well.

I hate it when this happens to because itALWAYS seems to hapen with books that have been on my WL for a Loong time,the getting lost in the mail seems to happen in cluster. I can go forever without loseing any and then it happens multiple times in short order....so FRUSTRATING :)

I admit though I have been guitly of hitting the cancel order button  for a few books lately because we are in the middle of major renovations right now and my books are in the attic(in a rubbermaid bin) so it is a hassle of digging in the sneezy attic to find a particular book. I apologize if I have cancelled an order for any of you ladies.  :)

Pamela, I'd talk to your post office. Also check your PBS address. A run like that makes me suspect it is far more likely that something's going wrong on your end.

How about getting refused because of your address.  That's me, 5 times for 1 book and several for countless others I was bumped because of my APO address.  Thank you PBS swappers who do mail to APO!  Its like a life line during the long lonely months and very much appreciated.  Even if it does take a month or so to get here.  :)

Renee, I felt so sorry about you being turned down for the APO address, I checked your WL just to see if there was something I could post to it.  Alas, there is not but I wouldn't turn someone down for an APO!

Finally finally got it in the mail. I have completed the whole series through PBS(well except for the initial book).
