Witchcraft
Author: Charles Williams
"These pages must stand for what they are-a brief account of the history of that perverted way of the soul which we call magic, and with the reaction against it. This is a fascinating account of the history of witchcraft through out Western Europe. Many people harp on the Spanish Inquisition but this book shows how prevalent the practice of witchcraft actually was. And what practicing witchcraft entailed. Today's murderers and child tormentors would have regarded themselves as witches back then.
This book provides insight into the medieval mind and culture and what motivated people to commit crimes.
