I searched the forums and help for what felt like an hour!  But, I bet it was only 5 min.  I still have that "sand" stuff in my eyes.  I just woke up and woke up stupid!

I was curious I got my 2 points for 10 books, right?

Can I still get points by posting books?  Or my only option now is to "swap" them or somehow spend my "time" or "money" purchasing points?  That is how you get points:

Swap

Spend Time (Possibly filling out survery or something)

Break out credit card buy em!

Welcome to PBS, Tony.

Here's the answer to your question, straight from the Help Documents - if you have any questions in the future, the best place to search is there. Just click 'Help Center' in the gray bar on top of your screen.

Do I get credits for every 10 books I post?

No.

We offer members 2 "startup" (free) credits for posting their first 10 books.

  • These credits allow a member to begin ordering books immediately, without having to wait for a request from another member.
  • This is our way of welcoming you to the club.
  • After the first 2 "startup" credits, you earn credits by sending out books to other members.
  • The startup credits are limited to one account per household.

Here are the ways to earn credits:

  • Send out books that are received by other members.
    • When you mail a book ordered by another member and the recipient marks it received, you will earn a credit (2 credits each for audiobooks).
    • You can get this credit faster by using PBS Delivery Confirmation with the QuickCredit feature.
  • refer others to PBS.
    • If the new member registers and posts 10 books to his or her shelf, you will earn a credit!
    • To learn more about referring others, please see the Spread the Word page, available under Community in the toolbar at the top of the site.
  • Buy credits.
    • You can purchase credits for $3.45 each in the PBS Kiosk.

You can also purchase credits directly from other members for less than the PBS kiosk price  .... members who want to sell credits generally make a post in the "Book Bazaar" forum and the typical going rate is somewhere between $2.40 - $2.90, depending.

Study the WishList and try picking up used books cheap - GoodWill, garage sales - and posting them.  But sometimes it is just cheaper to buy credits.

Tony - at the very top of every page there is a HELP CENTER link.  It will answer almost any and every question you might have as a new member.   A lot of us miss that link when we first begin.  It's never too late to find out all you can about PBS.
