Tia Mason decides to return home to San Francisco, after 10 long years away in Boston at a boarding school and then college. She has experimented with her sexuality; including, but not limited to, female and multiple partners. Even with all her sexual experiences, she has felt that something has been missing from her life; but she is not sure what. She decides to come home in search of answers. Lucas Stone has been Tia's father's right hand man for twenty long years. Tia's father, Ulrich, taught Lucas about the legend of the Chanku and how they are shapeshifters. Ulrich wants Lucas to teach Tia about their pack and introduce her to true nature.

WARNING! While reading this book, a person is liable to spontaneously combust. I thought I was going to catch fire to myself while reading this book. It is hot, hot, hot. I have got to hand it to Douglas; what an imagination. Pretty much anything sexual is a given in this book. Prior to Tia, the pack consisted of all males all who are all lovers. The pack mentality is share, share, share. As the alpha female, Tia is supposed to accept all the members of the pack as her lovers. If monogamy is your thing, you may not like this aspect of the book.

I wouldn't say there is anything ground breaking with this story, but Douglas did keep me turning the pages to see what outrageous thing she was going to concoct next. Her writing style flowed smoothly and there was enough conflict between Luc and Tia that gave their relationship some interest besides just the sex. There also was a small side story involving a suspense plot. This plot leads to the set up for the next book in the series.

From the back cover:
Tia Mason is an alluring and very experienced young woman. But she is naive of her heritage as Chanku, an ancient, highly sensual race of shapeshifters. It will be up to Luc Stone to introduce her to her feral birthright and its thrilling rituals. For Luc is also Chanku, and a special agent in their cadre, the Pack. And Tia is everything he wants in a mate. The attraction is instant, their thirst unquenchable. As Luc moves Tia inexorably toward her destiny, he prepares to introduce her to the Pack, where her favors will belong to the others as well. By the time her test is through, Tia will have proven just how willing, adventurous, and truly Chanku she is, but one ultimate explosive experience still remains...

Another great story by Kate Douglas. There was enough of a tie to Wolf Tales to connect the stories, but this one could stand by itself. Just as hot as the first one, but I think I liked this one better.

The story continues - erotic with a supernatural theme. Read the first book initially.

I've actually read all of the Wolf Tales series up to date. It is a very steamy series. Not for the kind of person who doesn't like the VERY erotic stuff. Books-a-Million doesn't even put these books in the "Romance" section they are put in the "SEXUALITY" section. But I like them.

I read the previous book in this series, Wolf Tales, and for some reason decided to read this one anyway. It is so unbelievably repetitive and boring and contains a "big secret". I have little patience for the old tired "big secret" plot line or for dull books anymore.

The plot is about a secret clan of highly sexual werewolves who work to combat terrorism (or something). The alpha wolf of the clan has raised his daughter Tia without telling her the secret of their race. He sends her off to school so she won't be anywhere near him and his pack. When she's well past the age of changing he allows his top man Luc to initiate her into the pack which will include five other horny guys. Tia is a beauty and a full blooded werewolf and once given the correct supplements to "change" will become the alpha bitch for all of the men who drool over her the moment they set eyes on her. She will only be "mated" (the soul mate) to one however. So she'll sleep with them all but her heart will belong to only one. Poor thing. Luc accidentally killed her mother when she was a wee child but he withholds this from her until the last infuriating minute because he's afraid to face up it.

I finished this book but I'm not sure why. It was more like a mostly vanilla, slightly steamy romance with some bad words thrown in and only a little bit of kink. All of the weirdness that strangely kept me reading the first book was missing and it read more like a post 9/11 espionage romance novel with some werewolves thrown in. Overall it was boring and pretty pointless.

Very good sequel - different characters from the first book, but they still interact with them. Very good and easy read, looking forward to reading the rest of the series!

I liked these series. I do only have Wolf Tales I and II and not the others. I have yet to get them. Please be aware that this is what they dub as "REALLY HOT" book and is sexually explicit.

This book surprised me! Strangely well written but still trashy enough to be hot! If you have ever fantasized about werewolves, then this is the book for you abet a bit kinky. and if the idea of beast sex turns you off, maybe you should pass.

Very Eerotic

This is a continuation of Wolf Tales I. It's about the Chanku, humans who can at will shift into wolf form. They are not monogamous. These books are extremely explicit. They go beyond the usual sex scenes in romance books. There's the usual m/f sex scenes, but there are also m/m, f/f, and sometimes m/m/f scenes as well. The plot in this second book was better than the plot in the first book. Some of the characters from the first Wolf Tales book make an appearance in this one.
