This book certainly is "different." The author takes a well known story and spins it with some bizzare characters--who remain totally believeable. Sureal at points, the story flows with humor and pathos. I was not aware of this author until I ran into this at a thrift store. I plan to explore his other novels because this one had me laughing with a tear in a my eye. Try it!
"Buddy" Nordan was one of my professors and a seriously undervalued author. This is widely regarded as one of his best works.
