When Robbie Trent learns that Old Three Toes the wolf has a litter of puppies, he knows that he wants one for his own. But his father and all of his neighbors would rather kill wolves than keep them as pets. Robbie proves that his wolf is as loyal and hard-working as any dog.
great book about the outdoors and growing up. Set in Wisconsin and based on lots of factual information. Clearly a literary treasure.
