I've owned this book a long time and I really love it. It's a great guide to pick up on those days when you feel something unspecified and want to do something to help you feel better. This is a book for you when you don't know what you need, but know something is not right and you can't put your finger on it. It helps you move from a vague sense of powerlessness, frustration and annoyance to a feeling of mastery - that you're doing something to take control of your life and how you approach it.
I'm ordering a second copy of Jennifer Louden's great book so I can give it to a friend. I can also highly recommend her Couples version of the book for those times in your relationship where you need something and can't figure out what would help.
These books help a lot!

I have 2 copies of this, as I wouldn't be parting with it otherwise. I love this book. Its a great way to get ideas of how to nurture yourself. I learned so many techniques on "how to be gentle with myself."

I am taking my time reading this book. I want to be able to absorb the ideas it presents. I have another of her books and love it so I'm sure this one will be just as good.
