An in-depth Jungian exploration of fairy tales - Rapunzel, Sleeping Beauty, Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Snow White, Goldilocks, The Wizard of Oz, Hansel and Gretel, Beauty and the Beast and Amor and Psyche. Each chapter includes a brief summary of the fairy, Jungian interpretation of the fairy tale with reference to female development, and personal insights shared by the author in regard to how the fairy tale relates to their own inner journeys. Particularly useful are the questions in each chapter for relating each fairy tale/story to your own life. The book does have a Christian message, and contains some religious interpretation, but will appeal of non-Christians as well, as the focus is more psychological (in a Jungian sense) than spiritual. Highly recommended.
