My mother read this book and really enjoyed it - the Biblical perspective of Rahab in a realistic world where Joshua is a living person made it a favorite of hers.

Quick read about a young but brave woman in Joshua's time and her life among the Canaanites and Semites in the last days of Jericho before the walls came down. Entertaining, but light. I would read more by Ann Burton.

Not just a "bible" story. This story was more like a "Red Tent" story...it told how women of the bible handled themselves and got what they wanted and got where they wanted...although that time period was thought to be run by "men", it is interesting to read a book like this that tells how women "made it work". I thoroughly enjoyed this book and managed to finish it in a few hours on a plane.
