Although this book was written over twenty years ago, some of the questions asked are still relevant today. For example, the book asks the question if we are seeing the feminization of poverty or the minoritization of poverty and the answer is both. The author goes into the key causes of poverty among women. A very interesting book to read in the 21st century.
