Okay, has anyone ever heard of the author Tanya Hanson?? Well, i never have, but i belong to an online Western Romance lovers group which i don't ever visit much since it usually doesn't have many posts to read.I do receive email updates about the group occasionally and they had a contest listed to win a copy of this author's newest book and a gift certificate to Starbucks. I figured why not give it a try? All i had to do was sign her guestbook on her website for a chance to win. I told her to pick me because we have the same first name! LOL, well she did!  She even posted my full name and city/state on her website, cool! Her website is http://www.tanyahanson.com  she emailed me and said the book will be sent to me on a PDF file.......i'm not real computer smart but i am guessing i have to download it and print it to read it?  I was hoping i would just get a paperback book in the mail ya know, but hey the g/c to Starbucks is still cool.

w00t!

I think you can read it on your computer, or print it out. I suppose ideally, you would bring your laptop to Starbucks and read it there. :-)

groups.yahoo.com/group/Western_Romance_Novel_Fans/    It doesn't get alot of activity, members mostly post the latest westerns they have read and if they enjoyed them. Some members even list books that are not westerns.

Congratulations -- that's so much fun!  I always enter those things and never hear anything.  E-books are okay, but I print mine out and take them with me.  It's a lot of paper and ink, so be prepared!

A PDF file is like a regular word document but it is locked so you can't alter the text. I recommend printing it. I just finished an ebook and I got headaches after reading it for to long....That is awesome that you won something though. I never win anything...Yay Starbucks!

Wow, congratulations.

If you don't post there already, check out this site:  http://www.loveisanexplodingcigar.com/  At least weekly, if not more often, they give away free books.  Some are e-books but most are print.   You do have to register in order to win.

Today, author Karin Tabke is giving away a book from her backlist.

You can also check out RomanceJunkies.com, and become a reviewer for them.  You request which books you want to review, and they send them to you, ARC.  I've only been a member for about a month, and have 2 books sitting here that need to be read and reviewed (Prey by Melina Morel, and another one that I can't quite remember what it is.)  They have a lot of titles, and authors to choose from, and you have a pretty good timespan before the reviews are due (a month or 2).  I really enjoy it, and the other reviewers are very friendly, as well as the staff.
