I've read other books by this author and liked them better. The book is readable with a plot that keeps your interest. But it becomes convoluted and the main crime in the book goes unsolved by the protagonists. Yet, the reader is told who committed the murder. I hope there is another book in the works because it only makes sense if the story is to be continued. I found the romance to be super quick but very sensual.
Her best friend is murdered and she ends up being named guardian of her friend's little girl. Even though he is just a step-dad he loves the little girl with all his heart. These 2 will be thrown together by this tragedy which turns out to be quite a story with all kinds of twists and turns. Very good murder, mystery, romance. Looking forward to others.
