One of the better Jewish cookbooks that I own. A huge variety of traditional recipes from Jewish cooks....Recipes complex and simple and in many cases, complete with variations. Everything I have tried has been a success. Rabbi Marks provides background information on each chapter and also gives a short introduction to each recipe...ethnic history of the dish or the primary ingredients and flavors.

Highly recommended!
