This is an interesting array of facts from WWII. From it I learned facts as varied as who the famous singer was that was given his first chance to sing with a band in the military to what Elia Kazan did for the military. I learned how many Congressional Medal of Honor were issued and who some of the notable winners were, what the Commando Order issued by Hitler in 1942 meant for Allied commandos. I also learned why Errol Flynn - a famous movie star- never served in the military and the rumor that still exists today about his loyalties. I even learned how a favorite book - Dauphne de Maurier's novel Rebecca was used by a German spy.
This is great book for any WWII buff.
