I frequently shop at Library and Educational Services (expecting a box today!) since they sell wholesale to homeschoolers and they have the most incredible prices, especially when they have sales, like the current one through July 16th. They have many A&E & History Channel DVD's. Retail price $24.95, normal LES price $6.95, but now they're on sale for $3.47!!! That's insane! :-) www.libraryanded.com/current.htm Make sure to get on their email newsletter list. You'll get special notice of 3 or 5 day sales, and other bargains. This company drains my HS budget in a hurry, but I get such great resources. I recently rec'd a set of Cooking the [Country Name] Way series books - 16 for $22 - all Library binding (most of the LES stuff is). JC |

Will they sell wholesale to "regular" teachers? I teach at a Catholic school. I would love to have a classroom library with hardbound books instead of softcover ones which get ruined even when kids are very careful. Those videos are looking great, too! |

Samantha, Yes, they sell to teachers, schools, libraries and homeschools. They are as wonderful as JC says. I have been happy with every order form them!! I did most of our Christmas shopping there this year... Enjoy! Chandra |

Wow, I just rec'd my latest order from LES. They had one of the "Museum in a Book" series books, about the Presidents, for $9. It's beautiful!!!!! I can't wait to get others in this series. I was also able to get a President's "flipper" chart, and one on all 50 states, for $3. Also a HC copy of "Those Who Dare" for $2, a wonderful Bible Atlas, and a "Who's Who and Where in the Bible" for around $3, I think. This was just an incredible box this time! They have such great prices on DVD's, too - Veggie Tales, Drive Thru History (better than the current sale at HSBC), etc. LES eats up my HS budget, but I'd rather order from them than Scholastic *any* day. I just went to a Scholastic warehouse closing sale, and 95% of the books were twaddle. It's so sad. JC |

I have to agree with JC. Scholastic is has gotten to be just junk! But I love LES and their prices can't be beat. I also like the fact they are library binding so they stand up to the days we have to take school in the car, and only the Lord knows where those books get shoved to during the day!! :-) I ordered several of those DVD's. Also an FYI Discovery has the DVD sale going on also where alot are 75%. I was able to get several of the mythbusters for 5 for $20. |

Thank you for the info, Chandra. They had a lot of good things on that site for cheap! Another one I really enjoy is www.bookcloseouts.com. |

I have a box on the way, too. :) If you are new to Library and Educational Services, be sure to order deals quickly. The A&E videos were almost all gone when I placed my order. |
