Very good book. Interesting, but a little lacking in substance towards the end. Good read for 11-15 year olds.

When I originally read this in 4th grade I got confused at some point and put it down. Reading it as an adult, I understand the story much better. I think I also appreciate everything in the book more than I would have as a child.

Margaret (Meg) is just a normal girl, whose mother takes care of her and her 3 brothers. Her father has been gone for years, but her mother insists that he will be back after he's finished his work with the government. With all the trouble the other children and even some of the authoritive figures at school give her about it, Meg finds herself often feeling depressed.

After a particular bad day at school, Charles Wallace, her younger brother, comes to her with exciting news. And not soon after, they end up going on an fantastic journey through time and space. Along the way they meet new friends, who help them save the world and discover their own individual talents.
