I received a book today that has like kid scribbles on the top of the book.  It's not like a reminder mark on the top of the book is scribbling.  Is this RWaP or is this a postable book?

Thanks!

Because the rules state that reminder marks and names on the side are acceptable, it does qualify.

I often try a soft eraser or a very fine grade of sand paper to clean up the edges.  You are talking of the page edge and not the cover, right?

From what I understand, despite not being as officious as a remainder mark, the book is still postable as there is no writing on the text pages, but rather the edges.  I've seen people ask this about books with name written on the edge of the pages, and those books were deemed acceptable, so I assume the same would apply for scribbles.

Yeah, I am talking about the edges not the cover.  I just wasn't sure.

Thanks for the responses.

Now if the scribbles go down into a page and cover text, then it is not allowed.
