I requested a book and received a different title. I filled in the blanks on this but then checked and saw the sending member is a la carte. As they can't PM where does that leave me? The book sits on my 'en route to me' page for now but I haven't heard from the member or from PBS. What happens now? PS the book I received is not one I'd want to read or need to read as it's about getting pregnant which no one of my age should do or want to do. |

Send them a "PM". It's right on the book request. It doesn't matter that they're A la Carte or not. |

While you are in a transaction with the other member(sending or receiving a book),you both can communicate back and forth even though they are A la Carte. |

That happened to me once. Had hubby do the labels and he accidently printed two of the same and didn't realize it. The receiving member PM'd me, he kindly mailed to the correct person and didn't even want a credit or two for histrouble (which was incredibly nice and amazing!). If I remember correctly it was a romance novel that got sent to a man and wasn't really interested! LOL! |

How long should I wait before contacting PBS? I did fill in the form but have not heard back from the sending member. |

What happens in PBS automatically if the sender never responds to your request .. then the book will be marked lost in the mail when the mailing period ends and you will get your credit back. The book the sender mailed to you is yours to do whatever you want with it. So even if the sender does nothing, you will be made whole by the system. Generally, PBS advises waiting about 5 days for someone to respond to a PM. After 5 days, you can contact PBS and see if they can check into getting the sender to respond. What the sender can do is (if they still have the right book) ... is mail the right book to you, you mark it received when you get it, and you are done. If they switched books with a different requestor (so no longer have the right book), then the sender could contact the other requestor, see if they are willing to mail the book to you, give you each a credit to cover postage, and you and the other requestor mail the books to each other, and you mark them received when you get the right book. Since both ways to resolve the issue cost the sender either 1) an extra postage, or 2) 2 credits, they may not be wishing to resolve the issue, which is within their rights. As long as you get your original credit back, which you will automatically, you are made whole. |

Thanks for the clarification, Sara. I knew I wouldn't lose the credit, but was wondering what to do about the wrong title received. |
