Hi all,

I requested and was granted a book off of someones shelf. That person PM'd me before I went on vacation and stated that she mailed the book to another member, but I could have a different book (similar topic/same author)) and I declined (it wasn't what I wanted). My credit is gone though and she does not know how to give it back to me. I don't know what to tell her. Help/Advice on what I am supposed to do would be appreciated.

Thank you

I the other member clicks on your name in a PM to her, she will link to your profile and they can click the give credit button at the top of the page.

Wait - if one or the other of you cancelled the original transaction, you should have gotten your credit back automatically.  Are you sure that didn't happen?  Check your credit registry if you are not sure.  If you didn't get it back, something odd went on and you should send in feedback.

exactly, if she or you cancelled the transaction it should be reflected in your credit registry.  make sure you didn't get it back already or if the transaction is still pending, she needs to cancel the order so you stay at the front of the FIFO line (if you still want the book).  If you don't want the book then you need to cancel the transaction

If she clicked "I Cannot Send", then your request was either

- passed on to the next sender, in which case you did not get your credit back

- canceled and your credit was returned, in which case you will see it in your Credit Registry

If she clicked "Book Has Been Mailed" instead, then the sender needs to use the Contact Us link at the bottom of the screen and tell the PBS Team she didn't really mail it. They will cancel it for her.
