I bought several books at a UBS and didn't notice until I got them home that they had a couple of punch holes in the top of the front cover. My question is: Would you consider these books postable or unpostable? Would you want your credit back? Should I post them, and them let the requestor know about the punch holes to give them the chance to cancel their request? The books are in very good condition, with only minor spine creasings. Some of the books have a couple of punch hole that are small triangles 1/8th of an inch at the widest, others have a couple of punch holes that are 5 point stars 5/16th of an inch at the widest. I was looking at the overall condition of the books, and didn't notice the punch holes because of the inner picture page is the same color as the cover is on most of the books. The only punch holes that are really noticeable are the books that don't have an inner picture page and have a dark cover. What do you think? Please tell me your opinion? I have only been a member of PBS for a short time and don't want to do the wrong thing with these books. Thanks, Nancy |

I would list them but contact the member when a book is requested just to make sure they approve. |

I would list them also and pm in advance of mailing them just as a courtesy. Believe me, I've gotten worse things than that sounds, and didn't get an option to cancel. Some books matter to me more than others so I think communication between traders is a good thing. :) |

Nancy, this is what the Help Center says about Book Covers and "clipped" corners:
What you are describing is certainly less than 1 inch and I would post them and not send the PM. I'm not trying to sound harsh, but then you are stuck in a waiting game. If they do not answer, should you send the book anyway? Or not? |

I would list them and then just let the person know who requests them about the holes and let them decide for themselves. hope this helps :) |
