Okay, one of the first magnas I ever read was named 'Y'. (It was the one my public library had vol. one available for.) I was looking to read others, and now I am confused. I found a magna named 'Y' on this site. It sounds interesting, but I couldn't find number one, so I wishlisted an omnibus. (I think there is little chance of getting an omnibus, but it will remind me to look for this magna, so it's all good.) But this is not the 'Y' that I had read. This one that I found on this site is about some man who escapes a horrible virus that kills every other man on earth. (sounds good...) The one I read was a Japanesse one about a little girl who lived alone becuase she couldn't get along with her parents, so they let her stay in another house they owned, but alone. She lives next door to the new teacher at her school, who she has a crush on. Who clearly started as a teacher at her school, and moved next door to her, in order to get close to her. I only read vol. one so far, so it is unclear if he is a pediphile or a corperate spy (her Dad is CEO of something or another.) Do I have the wrong name for the one I already read?

I never heard of it before, though it does sound interesting. I tried doing a manga search for "y" but a lot of yaoi came up. Here's a link for a list of manga that start with y, not sure if it would be helpful or not

The Y you found reference to (every man but one dies) is good.    Never heard of the other, sorry!

The manga you're looking for has kind of the same summary/plot as "Suki" by CLAMP...  I doubt thats the one, but it sounds oddly similar.

EDIT: Here's a link to vol.1 of Suki so you can see what I'm talking about.

Hey, that's it! Suki. Why did I think it was called 'Y'? Thank you very much. When I checked this out at the library, i ended up purchasing it from the library. (Didn't know that was an option. Yep, it is. All that is required is that you spill a coke on it...) That annoyed me because, having read the book, I didn't know what to do with it next. I was not comfortable giving it to any of my teenage niece/nephews, because it still was unclear where the plot was going - corprate esponage, or pedophilia is so cool? I don't know what I ended up doing with it - maybe one of my sons took it off my hands. I don't remeber. But thank you, I would like to read the rest of them.
