An unusual hero--a poet. A man who attacks wrongs with his words, and goes off into himself in the middle of sentences, forgetting that anyone else is there. An intense, brooding character, but intense in love, too. A crisis in the middle of the book leaves us uncertain how the author is going to achieve a happy ending, but she makes it happen, and it doesn't even feel contrived. I recommend it.
