Yellow Dog
Author: Martin Amis
"When 'dream husband' Xan Meo is vengefully assaulted in the garden of a London pub, he suffers a head injury and personality change. Like a spiritual convert, the familial paragon becomes the anti-husband, the anti-father. He submits to an alien moral system- one among many to be found in these pages."

This book is very funny in places and I have liked Martin Amis's satire in the past, but one warning, if you put the book down, you may be completely lost the next time you start again. For this reason I stopped reading it. It needs to be more cohesive to really draw the reader in and keep them there. It also has a lot of insular British humor that I did not understand and finally did not care to read it.
