What's the general feeling about yellowed pages.  I got a book from a member, an older paperback and while the book is perfectly readable the pages are all yellowed.  My question is: I want to repost the book because I replaced it with a newer version and I'm wondering if ethically I should repost it. Opinions? Terry

Yellowed pages are acceptable, and they are to be expected if it's an older book.  There is no reason NOT to repost the book.  If someone doensn't want yellowed pages, they should have an RC for that.

Older books with cheaper paper yellow quickly, and as mentioned its perfectly acceptable to post them.  If a person doesn't want yellowed pages then they should attach an RC.

BTW in the industry this is covered under "toning", which can be subdivided into "yellowing" and "browning" and in some specific instances "foxing".

I have no problem with yellowed pages.  If people didn't post books with yellowed pages, many older classics would not be posted here.
