Mr Scarrow is a new to me author, and he is IMO a brilliant story teller and researcher. This Story tells the parallel lives of Wellington and Napoleon. From the year of their births 1769 to 1795. Both struggle and are outsiders in their youth, but through these struggles they become the men who dominated the 19th century western world. An absolute must read for historical fiction buffs!

Quote from the back of the book.
"A great read, full of excitement... "I really don't need this compitition". BERNARD CORNWELL

Interesting first book in the series of stories about Napoleon and Wellington. This covers their childhoods and goes into some detail of the known, and makes some very plausible assumptions about the unknown. Obviously well researched.
