Starting with curator Barbara Steiner, the small format publication brings together a range of works by Kyes that have been expanded and enlivened by a host of collaborators, hence the book s subtitle, Working With.mApart from studio projects, Kyes critical practice encompasses publishing, curating and creating site specific projects for and with art institutions. His work engages with publications as sites for debate and exchange rather than documentation. He currently teaches in the MA program at ECAL (L Ecole cantonale d art de Lausanne) and the Architectural Association School of Architecture, London, where, since 2006, he has also been Art Director. Among Kyes many international exhibitions and awards, his London design studio Z.A.K. won the Inform Award for Conceptual Design in 2011 and has twice been awarded the prize for the Most Beautiful Swiss Book.
