At first I was hesitant to read this book because I had tried to read a Hilderbrand book before and couldn't finish it, but I wanted to give this author another try. Boy am I glad I did. I started reading A Summer Affair and couldn't put it down. I loved the characters in the book and found myself really liking some and really not liking others. I felt like I was at the Summer Gala concert myself! An excellent summer read!

This was my least favorite of the Hilderbrand novels. The characters were annoying and self absorbed. I had to struggle through it. The ending just abruptly came with lots of unanswered questions. It was as though she just ran out of steam at the end. Very disappointing.

This is a great beach book. Would I say it's award winning...nah...but I enjoyed it enough to keep reading and you definitely got wrapped up in the characters once you started into it. It's perfect for a sunny day at the beach and some mindless reading of a decent story. I'm not waiting for the movie!

I really like Elin Hilderbrand, but this book was not good. Normally every book I've read by her is 4 stars at least. This is the exception.

i guess i've been reading a lot more memoirs lately, but i wasn't so enthusiastic about an affair. I was more into her relationship with the high school sweetheart, and current husband. i did finished and will most likely attemmpt Barefoot since I already have it and hope for something alittle better...to keep me interested in this author. enjoy!!

I like this book all the way up to the ending and I did not like the ending . I felt it still left some important things with a alot of the Characters. I hate when a book has a great plot but the ending sucks.
