I am always torn when it comes to collections like this. They always feature characters that we have grown attached to in other full length books, but the treatments are so short that sometimes they seem very abrupt and involve too much telling and not enough showing. I think that is true in this case. How could we not want to read Ned Blydon's story? He has appeared in several of Quinn's books and is a wonderful character. His story is very much a Quinn story, all the elements are there, but it is too rushed and you can't help but feel that Ned got short-changed. The same is true of the other stories, by Kleypas and MacGregor/Kenyon. These are characters that readers care about, so their stories should not be abbreviated for the sake of a compilation. As a reader, I felt cheated.
All that being said, this is still one of the better compilations out there. If you loved any of these characters, you will want to know what happened to them and how they found happiness. But don't count on feeling particularly satisfied. Informed? yes. Content? no.

I only requested this book because of Lisa Kleypas and the fact that this is a continuance of Derek and Sara's story. I was not disappointed. Reading about Lydia Craven was the best 1/2 hour I ever had at reading a book.

Very good anthology... I was only familiar with the characters from Lisa Kleypas' story but liked all three.

Susan G. (This book introduced me to Julia Quinn, which has been a very good thing. The Kinley MacGregor portion tells Simon's story from the Brotherhood of the Sword series. Julia Quinn does Ned Blydon, Belle's brother. Both enjoyable pieces.

Three fatastic reads in one sitting. If you've read Lisa Kleypas, Julia Quinn or Kinley MacGregor's books, you'll recognize these hero's from their books.
Gives you a bit more insight to some of your favorite characters. Fast read!
fantastic!! normally whenever there's 3 in 1, there's always 1 that's not as good, this is not the case here, they were all great!!!!

Nice collection of short romances by Kleypas, Quinn and MacGregor
Ronda wrote on 1/15/2007...short story from Lisa Kleypas is good, but doesn't give her the room to develop the story line as she does in her full size novel. i didn't read the other two stories.
The stories of- Dr Jake Linley from Someone to Watch Over Me(Kleypas)...Ned Blydon from Splendid(Quinn) and Simon Ravenswood from Master of Desire(Macgregor)..excellent
