Book Description:
VAMPIRES DON'T EXIST... DO THEY?

Inez Urso is beginning to have her doubts. Her business associate Thomas Argeneau has some interesting traits, like an allergic reaction to the sun, excellent night vision, and not much of an appetite for food. And to top it all off, he just tried to bite her neck... but maybe that was a sign of passion. If so, she'd be happy to experience more, despite her determination not to mix business with pleasure.

HE'S BEEN WAITING FOREVER FOR A WOMAN LIKE HER...

Well, if not forever, at least two hundred years. Inez is the most beautiful woman he's seen in centuries. Those luscious lips, seductive curves, and her elegant neck... he just couldn''t resist the temptation of one little bite. Now Thomas will do anything to convince her that only an immortal like him can satisfy her all night long...

I have read all of Sands' Argeneau books and I thought this one just wasn't up to par with the others. Maybe it is because Thomas is the laid back Argeneau who no one takes seriously because he is so young (young to other immortals anyway.) I liked Inez and do like Thomas but there was something about this story that I just couldn't connect with. I did enjoy seeing all my other favorite Argeneau men towards the end of the book though. On a side note this book takes place simutaneously with the next book in the series, Vampire Interrupted. I read that one first and then read this one. I have never read these books in order but do recommend that you read this book before Vampire Interrupted. Although the plot lines happen simultaneously there are some things that are best read in the proper order.

A little bit of a disappointment. Would still recommend reading as it continues the story line. Wanted to like it alot as I liked the character Thomas in earlier books in the series. The whole story line seemed slightly superficial and seemed to serve to just move the characters to the next book. Still I gave it a 3. I always seem to laugh out loud at least once (actually a couple of times) with her books and this one was no exception.

I really liked this book. It brought several of the characters from the previous books in the series back. The story line doesn't really come to an end so it almost has to be read before book 9, where the rest of the books in the series so far don't really have to be read in order.

I love this book! It has lots of suspense, romance, battle scenes, and plenty steamy scenes! What a page turner!!!

I read Vampires Are Forever after the Accidental Vampire in the last few days and was disappointed in both.

My preference for vampires is a too-die-for handsome, somewhat arrogant bad boy, highly sensual being who is bought to his knees by the heroine. Sands' books leave me wanting what her characters lack. Her vampires are soft, too nice, and seem powerless.

I'll look for the vampire fix elsewhere.

This is a good series. Wouldn't recommend reading them staight through. They get a little boring and perdictable. At least that is the way I felt after reading this. The book itself was really good, I think that I was just needing a break from vampires at the time.

The more I read the better I like. Great take on Vampires who wish to be called Immortals. so much fun.
