Book Description:
This is the most recent book in the Argeneau Vampire series featuring Lucian Argeneau, a world-weary, immortal hunter of rogue vampires. Even vampires need a vacation. But Decker Argeneau's ends abruptly when he's asked to help hunt the group of rogue vampires targeting mortals -- one that might include a defector in his own family. Before he can worry about that, though, he's got to rescue the latest victim. It's all part of the job, including taking a bullet for a beautiful doctor. Dr. Danielle McGill doesn't know if she can trust the man who just saved her life. There are too many questions, such as what is the secret organization he says he's part of, and why do his wounds hardly bleed? However, with her sister in the hands of some dangerous men, she doesn't have much choice but to trust him. Except now Decker's talking about life mates and awakening a passion that's taking Dani beyond anything she's ever known. Being undead may not be half-bad...especially if it means spending forever with a man who would love her with his mind, body, and immortal soul.

Contrary to some of the reviews, I found this book exciting. I could hardly put it down. Although some of the scenes seem to be about the same in all her books, she is able to keep my attention. But I think that is true with a lot of authors. The sex scenes are always the same and there tends to be similarities thru all their material.

Anyway, I thought this one tied in some of the information from her previous books in this series very well. Personally, I enjoyed it and can't wait to pick up another one of her books.

This book is a dissapointment to me. It was really hard getting through it. I had no interest in the main characters, the plot was boring. I skimmed through the sex scenes -they are always the same. Decker rescues Dani, cant read her mind and knows immediately that she's his lifemate. Meet, have sex, and love each other forever, all within a few days. No substance. This is the genre I read all the time. It was one of the most boring books I've read. Make your own decision.

Her last couple of books in this series have been a little disappointing. Perhaps I read too many too close together -- but this one held my attention much better than the last two -- I actually am glad I stuck with the series for this one and I'm will be reading the next --- This story was more interesting than some, a little darker, though I did miss her more humorous moments - not as many but still a couple of characters I want to follow up on -- It is taking a JR Ward type of turn with more emphasis on the Rogue Hunter principle but it's added another dimension to her stories so it's not a bad thing.

Having various characters do occasionally stupid things just to move the plot forward doesn't do it for me. It also has somewhat of a cliffhanger ending, no doubt to ensure that the reader will buy the next book. I will buy it because yes, I want to know how the story arc works out and because I know how great Lynsay Sands vampire books usually are, but not because of this one.

Gave this 11th book in the Argeneau Vampire series 3 stars. Good, but not as good as some of the earlier ones. This one is Decker's story and literally picks up 2 weeks after Mortimer's story from book 10 ("The Rogue Hunter"). That's interesting because you get to find out what happens to Sam since she (spoiler here....) refused to be turned. I digress....Decker meets Dani in this story under not-so-perfect circumstances; as always huh? Anyhoo...lots of good action scenes, a few sexy ones too. Plus you learn about a whole other breed of vampires called the "No-Fangers" and the "Edentates". Very creative. Overall good, but the ending left me a little flat.

If you like a constant theme, here you go. I liked it. But, it seems much the same as the rest.
