Every little boy should have this book! It is my son's favorite!

This is a wonderful book for young boys or girls who are fascinated by things with wheels and things that go. Every page is full of fun and unusual vehicles driven by animals personified as community workers and laborers and businessmen and families. There are so many things to talk about on every page. Discover this book with your child. It is great for practicing language skills. There are a few lines of text on each page and a simple story line, but it isn't essential to enjoy the book, as most children would rather just talk about what they see.

This is one book the child can sit off by themself and just peruse. There are words at each noun, teaching them the general sight of the word, if not true reading.
This is the next step past associating words with pictures and nouns.
Pages look "busy", so they can stare at the same page for half an hour without getting bored.
The only problem I had with it was it's a little large, so it wasn't be as easily portable.
