This book was utterly fantastic. I didn't want it to end! It is the family saga of generations of women-starting with Marguerite, who was born to a peasant family, to her daughter, Jasmin. The story continues on with Jasmin's daughter, Violette, finally ending full circle with Violette's daughter, Rose, lady in waiting to Marie Antoinette. The book is set during the reign of Louis the Sun King (1660s) and ends with Marie Antoinette and the French Revolution (late 1700s). This book is action packed all the way to the end, with lots of great details about Versailles. I learned alot while enjoying a great story. I will definitely check out more of this author's books!
