Book Description:
Meet Darcy in Something Borrowed: Perfect life. Perfect guy. Perfect shoes. Perfect job. Meet Darcy in SOMETHING BLUE: No guy. Not enough money for shoes. No one will hire her. And a baby on the way. Life is about to get very interesting.

Darcy knows what is important in life: being the most beautiful. She has chosen to live life on the surface, picking a fiance who looks great next to her and a job in public relations that showcases her talents. Everything is perfect—just the way Darcy likes it. Until she finds herself pregnant, alone, and dumped by two men. Darcy can think of only one thing to do—run away to London, inviting herself to stay indefinitely in her childhood friend Ethan's apartment. There, she learns more about motherhood and herself than she ever thought possible—and discovers the true meaning of friendship and love. SOMETHING BLUE is a charming and complex portrait of a woman discovering that sometimes even perfection is overrated and that a messy life can be more satisfying than she ever dreamed.

I really enjoyed this book. It was better than the first book (Somthing Borrowed) but should definitely be read only after that one. It not only adds depth to the first book (The first few chapters "flashback" to the events in the first book, but from the perspective of a different character) but then moves on to become a great book in its own right. This book will make you laugh, cry, and never want it to end.

This sequel to Something Borrowed is every bit as good, if not better, than the first book. This story covers the shallow, narcissistic Darcy Rhone, the best friend of the heroine in Something Borrowed. Something Blue is a quick read, well-written, and quite believable. The dialog and situations are realistic. The reader also learns more about Dexter and Rachel as a couple and what they were like as individuals.

I read this before I got married and I loved it. It was very well written. I finshed the 2 books (Something Borrowed) in 3 days. Very good book.

I loved this book. After reading Something Borrowed I could not wait to read Something Blue and I was not disappointed. This book takes a turn that I just could not have imagined.

This is a wonderful story with such a happy ending! It's great to read in the order of the series, but still good if you've missed the first book. It will make you smile.

LOVED IT! I actually liked it even more than I liked Something Borrowed. Sure, it's frustrating to hear it from Darcy's point of view because she is annoying at times. But the fact that she bothered me so much just means I was really into the book. I felt like I knew her! And it was fun to read about her adventures after Something Borrowed. I don't want to say too much in the review and give away anything, but I highly recommend this book. But make sure you read Something Borrowed first :) GREAT summer reading by the pool!

While I would suggest reading "Something Borrowed" before you read this book, I think "Something Blue" is definitely the better of the two. Emily Giffin has such a great sense of humor that comes out through her characters.

I really hated Darcy through all of "Something Borrowed" and that dislike just multiplied in the beginning of this book. She was so pretentious and shallow, you just wanted to hit her. But she really blossomed in the middle/end of this book and you were able to see that a good person was hiding in there all along.

Even though she was 28, or how ever many years old, this really is sort of a coming of age book. You see Darcy blossom as she grows from her old shallow self into a new mother who cares about other people and not just herself. I definitely had some tears in my eyes and a huge smile on my face as I read the end of this book. I really enjoyed it.

This book follows Darcy, the best friend of Rachel from Something Borrowed. This book picks up after Darcy discoverers Rachel and Darcy's fiance Dex had an affair and after Darcy's own affair leaves her pregnant with her fiance's best friend's baby.

I didn't like Darcy after reading the first book, and even after reading this book I'm still not a big fan of Darcy's. But this book was still pretty good. I liked that the story picks up where the first one left off. We're not left to wonder what happened in the time between, because there is no time between.

The characters are still as great as they were in the first book. They are well rounded and I still felt like I knew them.

Darcy tries to make a turn-around but I still felt that she was self-absorbed. I have to admit that I like her more at the end of the book than I did at the beginning, but she's still mot my favorite person.

Even despite the fact that I didn't like the main character I would still say this was a really good book. Emily Giffin is great writer for her genre. She knows how to write Chick Lit and does it well.

I borrowed this book from a friend so I won't be able to swap it, but it's well worth reading, especially if you like good Chick Lit.

What a great book! I read "Something Borrowed" a while ago, and don't remember much, but the first couple of chapters give enough background information to enjoy the rest of the book!

I read this book in less than a day. I wanted to keep reading, to find out what happened to Darcy, and in the end, I was especially please with how her life turned out!

A very good book...highly recommended by this reader. Perfect for a rainy day or beach reading. Have tissues on hand for the last 3 chapters!!

I enjoyed reading the second book in the 3 part series, Reading how Darcy went through changes and how in the end your true friendships come out.
Who would of thought Darcy the mother?? Not the party girl but she step right up to the plate and saw how she needed to change her ways.

This is a cute, quick read. It helps to have read "Something Borrowed" first so that you have some perspective of the characters.

I liked this book, but had a hard time getting into it. I had a hard time feeling sorry for Darcy, since she was so self-centered, but by the end of the book, she had really changed. So it turned out pretty good.

Loved the story line. You go through a love/hate relationship with the main character but in the end you're glad she gets what she deserves. I love love love Emily Griffin and will forever remain a fan. Great writing and great conclusion to a two part series.
