This is a great book for anyone who loves the Stephanie Plum series, mysteries or has any interest in writing. I have no plans to write fiction in the near future (maybe in a parallel life?) but it was interesting to "get in the head" of a writer whose books I enjoy. Further, I have friends who do write, and it demystifies the process of getting published. She has simple, concrete advice about the writing process - very easily applicable - but fun to read. Who knows, maybe when I retire and stop writing boring technical papers...?

This book has some interesting reading and some that just didn't interest me. If you want to learn more about how to write a book, you will really love this. If you love all of Janet's books & are wanting to read a similar story - this may not be for you. It's basically all questions from readers and her answering them. Great book for those who want to learn more about writing a novel or how Janet goes about it.

An interesting peek into the methods of a successful mystery writer. Some good advice, especially for the brand-new and aspiring author. Topics are presented in an informal question and answer format, as if Evanovich is answering the questions asked by fans. Especially recommended for fans of Evanovich's Stephanie Plum books.
