Book Description:
For as long as she can remember, successful young physician Megan Blair has tried to silence the voices in her head—voices that bring her to the edge of madness and terror. Megan possesses psychic powers that have been dormant for years, hidden deep in the past she's tried so desperately to forget. But now everything has come to a boiling point—someone is trying to kill her, and others are trying to use her, including the deadly and seductive Neal Grady. Shocking secrets about her life and her mother's death bombard her as she fights to take control of her heritage and save herself and everything she believes in. Grady holds the key to understanding her future, a future in which Megan's life will never be the same.

I had somehow managed to miss this title, until I read QUICKSAND, Iris Johansen's newest release featuring Eve Duncan. Megan Blair plays a small role in that book, so I searched out PANDORA'S DAUGHTER to get her story. I'm glad I did.

Megan is a doctor who feels empathy for her patients that's beyond normal. When she finds out that a real bad guy named Molino is after her, her world comes crashing down. There are revelations about her Uncle Phillip, memories of her mother's death, and the arrival of Neal Grady, a man who may hold the key to the powers that Megan has.

This was a good, quick read that I really enjoyed. I also like stories that revolve around the paranormal, so this fit right in. I'd love to see more books featuring Megan and Grady (who is a force to be reckoned with!), along with Jed Harley and Renata, two other characters introduced in PANDORA'S DAUGHTER.

I think this book had tremendous potential, but fell short in my opinion. I could not quite understand why Megan spent the majority of the book denying her gifts. I also did not like the romantic relationship or the way it developed. This book started out strong, seemed to flounder through the middle, was highly predictable in so many ways and ended with a whimper. Read it if you're bored, but there are many much more interesting books available.

A MUST read. I found this book to be one, if not the best of Johansen's books. I couldn't put it down. I liked it even better than one of the Eve Duncan books.

I enjoyed the hard-to-quantify possibilities of extra senses presented in this book. Great plot and enjoyable read.
