Sexy, wise-cracking Max has turned from computers to crime-stopping. Now' he's got a case in Beaumont and a reason to look up Jamie Swift. He finds her impossible. She calls him infuriating. They're a perfect couple... except for her fiance and the arrival of two hitmen. Sure enough, someone wants to kill Max. Someone else wants a town bigwig rubbed out. And suddenly Jamie's caught in the crossfire of her own emotions, Max's secrets, and the most irresistible desire...

I happen to like Max & Muffin better.
This book is MY first read of this Series.
Fast paced, crazy characters, suspense and non-stop hailarity.
YES, oh, yes ! I would recommend this book highly.
Looking forward to the rest in the series.

A young lady in the south, runs a newspaper. When her silent partner shows up so do two assassins, a washed-up stripper and an insane poacher. It doesn't get any more romantic or dangerous.

It's great fun to ride along with Jamie as she finds that the silent partner in her Beaumont newspaper is neither silent nor subtle. Perhaps a change of course will be on the horizon, but not before shots are fired, the dog is kidnapped and decidedly fey Beenie starts looking at girlie mags. Entertaining

This is the second book in the new series which is filled with even more fast-paced action, crazy characters, steamy sex, suspense and nonstop hilarity.
Hard for me to put these books down.

These "Full" books by Janet are cute - something fast and fun to read while you're waiting for the next Stephanie Plum to be released. When you're looking for some good giggles, these are the best!

cute entertaining book. Not as "laugh out loud" as the Stephanie Plum novels.
