Book Description:
To authorities she spilled the shocking details of a night of horror. It was the lead they'd been desperate for in a multi-state manhunt for an elusive serial killer. Where the witness took them was to the last man anyone would have suspected.

Richard Marc Evonitz was beloved by friends and family. He was handsome, intelligent, and compassionate. Serving a spotless eight years in the U.S. Navy, he was a town hero who lived in harmony in an exclusive South Carolina neighborhood. The only ones who saw Evonitz's dark side were his victims. They were helpless teenage girls who, one by one, were subjected to his twisted sexual fantasies of kidnap, rape, and murder-until his double life came undone by the brave cunning of his last young victim. But as authorities and the media descended upon him, Evonitz had one more shocking surprise in store for everyone-a stunning final act of violence and reckoning that would turn a bright sunlit morning blood red.

An astonishing true story of abduction, murder, and the nice guy next door. This is an excellent read that you'll not forget anytime soon. These poor innocent girls that had to endure the wrath of this one man. I use that term MAN loosely, more like monster. Gripping as well as disturbing, horrific!! Very well written and easy to read. I look forward to more of this Author. This book could of been easily rated with 5 stars...

I personally knew this sick twisted monster as did several of my friends. We were all quite shocked at the truth that Marc had done these terrrible crimes and in the end was too cowardly to face the consequences of his actions. When I met him, he had already killed the Lisk sisters and the Silva girl in the next county over. He rented a room in my husbands tool shop and stole from us over $6,000.00 in products. I along with my 14 year old daughter used to give him rides home from the shop when his car was out of comission. Little did we know that car contained his past victims. I am sorry to see that he was not procecuted, but am happy that he will no longer harm another little girl. Robin F.

Facinating story of the 'man next door' who's a good neighbor and excellent employee. He only has one hangup - he kidnaps and molests little girls. Then when he is done is kills them. One such victim got away and then his whole life becomes exposed ending with a 'strange' and dramatic chase to the end. Highly recommend this book if you are into reading about the human condition in regards to crime!

This was the shocking case of Richard Marc Evonitz, who abducted, raped, and killed young girls. He abducted them in broad daylight. He caused senseless sorrow and grief to the families. It was stranger on stranger attack so there weren't that many clues to go on and the cases went unsolved for several years. They were only solved because he could not stop himself from commiting the horror and one of the girls he abducted was able to get away from him.
