An excellent account of the lives of Michael Peterson and Kathleen Atwater, and the trial of Michael Peterson. The author includes good background detail without going overboard.

Diane Fanning is a great true crime writer. Her account of the crimes committed by Michael Peterson is chilling. The documentaries on the case just scratched the surface of his twisted mind but Fanning provides all the details here.
