Hot movie star Zoe Tarleton gets piles of money but no respect because she always plays a beautiful bombshell. When she gets the chance to play a geeky chemist working on a formula to combine weight loss, sexual potency, and anti-aging in one powerful pill, she is determined that this role will open up her career. Zoe may be too hot to understand her character, but she has a plan: her ultimate nerd lawyer Flynn Granger can teach her the ropes. Flynn agrees to help Zoe out, but he's strictly business about it--his girlfriend is a Harvard professor and he plans to propose the next weekend. But when he sees Zoe in an outfit she considers nerdy, he realizes he's taken on an impossible task--she's just too cool to change. As they rehearse scenes in a secluded California cabin, they'll have to embrace their alter egos and fight the growing attraction between them. And they'll have to dodge an increasingly unstable stalker who wants to end their relationship...and Zoe's life. Gone WIth the Nerd is Vicki Lewis Thompson at her fun, sexy best.
A movie star researching a role of a chemist gets her "uncool" attorney to teach her to be a nerd so she can "get into character". They go to a secreat hideaway for coaching in California's "Bigfoot Country".
Tedious read. Predictable ending with 1st 1/4 of book. Not VLT's best work.

The first book "The Nerd Who Loved Me" was much better but this was still very entertaining.

I laughed, I was steamed up, I had a good time. Not literary genius, but a fun read.

Vickie Lewis Thompson has created an interesting concept with her "nerd" books. This book is centered around a movie star & takes place in California's "Bigfoot country". It will make you chuckle with all the antics that take place.

Summer reading at it's best, as long as you're not too interested in plot or believability.
Zoe Tarleton is a famous movie actress who wants to be taken a little more seriously in her roles. She is up for audition for a 'nerdy' role, but has no idea how to be a nerd. So she enlists her lawyer for the part, and invites him to a cabin (in Bigfoot Country no less) to work on learning the part.
Flynn Granger, her lawyer and apparantly, nerd of the hour, is at first a little put out by the suggestion that HE might be a nerd. But he admits to nerdy tendencies, like carrying his precious PDA in his front shirt pocket everywhere he goes. And the idea that his famous client needs HIS help is a little absurd to him, but he reluctantly agrees to the weekend away from the city to help her prepare for her role. Besides, he'd love to get a sighting of Sasquatch, the culmination of his inner nerd... i mean... child... dreams.

"A beauty looking for her inner nerd. ~~~ Movie star Zoe Tarleton has everyting but respect. Now she's determined to get it by snagging the coveted role of a plain-Jane chemist. All she needs is for her decidely uncool attorney, Flynn Granger, to teach her the award-winning subtleties of being a nerd."
"A nerd unleashing his inner beast. ~~~ California's 'Bigfood Country' is the ideal secret hideaway for coaching. That means rehearsing the steamy scenes too. Who'd have guessed that Zoe and Flynn's performance would be so convincing? Unfortunately, something is turning their hot love story into a hair-raising thriller."
