A wonderfully charming, endearing, and funny story about five women living on Freesia Court. Their lives cross one night in winter in 1968. They form a friendship that continues to grow with their regular book club meetings.
This is a well written story and alot of fun to read.

Loved it. She is one of my favorite authors and this book is one of her best. It's like Desperate Housewives and Roseanne all rolled in one...

I found this to be a very quick read. Lot's of laughs and sorrows, the drama unfolds fast and you'll find yourself asking "Can all this happen to one bunch of ladies?" it's got it all.

This book was great. I really loved it. I would love to form a book club just like these ladies did.

an enjoyable read about a group of friends, who have formed a book club, whose friendship endures for 30+ years. i liked how each chapter was written from the point of view of a different "angry housewife". and i liked how the bookclub book of the month tied into the plot of each chapter, even though the books themselves were barely mentioned in the novel.
