His Mission
When six canisters of a lethal nerve agent are stolen from a military testing lab, Admiral Jake Robinson must recover the chemicals -- by any means necessary. He defies convention and decides to infiltrate the compound where religious fanatics have stored the deadly toxin.
His Partner
Dr. Zoe Lange is a biological warfare specialist and an expert in espionage. Zoe agrees to assist Jake on the case, and, posing as husband and wife, they manage to gain access to the compound. But Jake fears his instant attraction to Zoe might compromise the mission.
His Crisis
Their marriage may be a hoax, but Jake's growing feelings for Zoe are anything but make-believe. With each hour he's in Zoe's company, the stakes get higher, the game more real. And the dangers within the compound escalate out of control.

I liked this story about a older man and a younger woman. There is alot of action in the book and it keeps you envoled until the end. Suzanne Broickmann is very good at bring the danger to life in her books and this is no exception. Worth your time to read.

This is a really good story that I had actually read before (I just didn't recognize it from the blurb).
Admiral Jake Robinson has always been the SEAL who lived by the motto of "leave no man behind." As far back as the Vietnam War, there have been "Jake's Boys" -- soldiers rescued because of the personal efforts of Jake Robinson. Now, he's been assigned to infiltrate a religious cult and recover six canisters of a devastatingly lethal nerve gas.
His partner undercover is Dr. Zoe Lange, who just so happens to be the daughter of one of "Jake's Boys" from back in Vietnam. She's also a lot younger than the Admiral. This doesn't stop them from going undercover as husband and wife -- or from experiencing the very real feelings of passion and desire.
But Jake is still mourning the passing of his wife, and Zoe isn't sure that the age difference (or this assignment) is something that can be overcome. Will these two be able to survive their undercover job -- and find a real love worth fighting for?
This is truly another great read in Ms. Brockmann's SEAL series!

Tall, Dark, & Dangerous - His mission was to pretend that Zoe Lange, beautiful young scientist -- nearly half his age! -- was his new bride. Former Navy SEAL Jake Robinson was sure that his romantic years were behind him, but for God and country he would look into Zoe's beautiful dark eyes, kiss her senseless, hold her as if he would never let her go... and then, when the job was done, do just that.
The only problem was, with each hour in Zoe's company, the stakes were becoming higher. The game more real. And the dangers within their "honeymoon" chamber more and more apparent...
**Really enjoyed this book. I was so happy to see Admiral Jake Robinson get to find love a second time around. I loved him with Daisy and was so sad to see her die... You'll enjoy Jake and Zoe's book a lot.

First let me tell anyone who is looking for the book the is a newer reprint out the isbn isbn is 0778322912.
This story is amazing! It pulls you in from the word go. You fall in love with all the characters from the smart heroine & the sexy older hero to their team members. The heroine has had a thing for the hero literally all her life. He helps her dad out durring the war and she has been stuck on him ever since. He isa tactical mastermind that has made his way up the naval ranks. They are linked years later in a mission to save the world from sort of neo-natzi terrorist.
In order to pull off the mission they have to pose as a couple. things heat of from there. The pages of the book nearly steam with passion and the intriuge has you on the edge of your seat wondering what happens.
Once you get your hands on it, you'll read it over and over again.

I really enjoyed this book as I do pretty much anything Suzanne Brockman writes. If you are a fan of the Tall, Dark, and Dangerous series (as I am) then this title will not disappoint. You've gotta love Jake Robinson. I fell in love with him in the story preceding this "Hawkens Heart". I really felt for him in that story, when his wife died, as well as this one as I can imagine it's hard for an aging hero in his profession. Although I wouldn't consider him to be OLD, the age difference between these two characters threw me off a little in the beginning, but their chemistry totally makes up for that. Read Crash's story(Hawken's Heart) where Jake is featured prominently before you read this one! That one's great too and it has a great sub-plot involving Jake's character.

A very good storyline. I really enjoyed this book and the developing relationship between Jake and Zoe. Loved the interaction of the SEAL team members with each other. The closeness of these guys in this whole series is very obvious and just fun to read about. Awesome job, Suzanne Brockmann!!
