Book Description:
Teddi Gallo is a bona fide Mafia princess--the apple of her Mafia don grandfather's eye and the recipient of many "found" pairs of Jimmy Choo high heels. But Teddi tries to walk the straight and narrow by running her restaurant, Teddi's, with her cousin Quinn, and keeping it free of Mafia business, if not of overprotective relatives. So why is Teddi, along with her roommate, Diana, attracting the attention of the FBI, in the form of one very handsome agent, Mark Petrocelli? It turns out Mark thinks Diana's innocent flirtation with Teddi's cousin Tony is something more sinister, but even after Teddi sets him straight, she still notices him hanging around. It doesn't help matters that Teddi is increasingly drawn to Mark over her seemingly perfect TV presenter boyfriend, Robert. The author of Diary of a Blues Goddess and Divas Don't Fake It scores again with a charming heroine and a winsome tale.

Short and sweet but with so little conflict I was left wanting more...

Plucky half-Italian/half-Sicilian (there is a difference!) heroine seeks Thunderbolt. Really fun book, especially if you're a fan of mobster movies. (Feels like you're getting the inside scoop on what this family of the "Family" is like on a daily basis.)

Can Orloff write a bad book? No. Another winner. I just wish she'd write more, faster!

Great Chick Lit ! I loved this book - the characters were lovable, the situations were light and funny, and the romance did not leak over into the TMI category. Great summer read & even included an "authentic" gravy (spaghetti sauce) recipe that rocks!

WOW! My book arrived yesterday afternoon. I picked it up as soon as my girls went to bed -- I couldn't put it down until I finished it three hours later. I loved this book. It was light and entertaining. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance or an inside look at the Mafia. Terrific read.

The Sopranos meets Sex & the City, with some Law & Order and Nigella Bites thrown in for good measure. Includes a recipe for "The Marcello Family Gravy" (aka spaghetti sauce) at the end. Read an excerpt at RedDressInk.com.

From the back of the book
Goombah to Gucci. The story of the only granddaughter among seventeen grandsons of a reputed Mafia don, Teddi Gallo has been used to overprotective men her entire life. But now she's decamped to Manhattan with dreams of making it in the brutal restaurant business. Unfortunately, the FBI believes she laundering money . . . and her old-money boyfriend may not understand about the hundred pairs of stolen Jimmy Choo shoes in her uncle Vito's living room. But a few well-hatched schemes from her eccentric room-mate and a dose of Mafia Chic may just get Teddi out of this jam.
Erica Orloff, a novelist from south Florida, is well-acquainted with "things that fall off trucks."
