I found this book in a book box at my local library for a quarter, so I wasn't expecting much - you know, they say you get what you pay for! It turned out be a very witty yet honest look at the changes we all go through and must sometimes deal with in life.

Three generations of women (g'ma, mom, (grand)daughter) come together in this story to learn to live together and accept each other's differences while learning they have many of the same hopes and fears. Erin struggles for teenage independence, Cecilia tries to gain control of her life after divorce, and Belle works through her first year of widowhood. Even Max, the bulldog, has his own issues to deal with - and "indiscretions"!

Well-written, funny, and beautifully reflects the thoughts and perspectives of women in different stages of life. A pleasure to read!

Cecilia Dupree is living with her teenage daughter and widowed mother, separated from her husband of 19 years. She feels like everyone is moving forward but her. Soon her reading group leads to unexpected trouble, her daughter is out of control and her mother is misbehaving. Can she find happiness with a younger lawyer, or is this just one more area of her life that's out of control?

Just couldn't get interested in this tale of three generations of women living under one roof. Had some mildly amusing parts, but not enough to kee p me going.

Cute "chick" book. CiCi Dupree's soon-to-be ex-husband is gettin' it on with girls half his age, her prize winning stud bulldog can't get it on, her free spirited mother is moving in with her and her once do-gooder daughter is sneaking out of the house at night.

What's a fortyish woman to do?

Funny, quick reading - good beach or pool book!
