He'd caught only a glimpse of her from the window of his carriage, but the young prince knew he had to have her. Within minutes, Lady Katherine St. John was dragged from the London street and carried off to a sumptuous town house -- for the pleasure of her royal admirer...
From the tempestuous passion of their first encounter, across stormy seas, to the golden splendor of palaces in Moscow, she was his prisoner -- obsessed with rage toward her captor even as an all-consuming need made her his slave. Yet theirs was a fervor beyond her understanding, carrying them irrevocably toward final surrender to the power of undeniable love.

This book is hot!!! Brings to mind the old saying...Don't judge a book by its cover. A few of Prince Dimitri's serfs believed Lady Katherine's story of being the daughter of an earl and why she was dressed as a servant. Prince Dimitri refuses to marry Katherine because he believes she is below him but he can't help wanting her. His worse fears are realized when Katherine is recognized by a friend of her father's, the British ambassador to Russia. Dimitri finally asks Katherine to marry him only to be refused. Katherine disappears and Dimitri pursues her until he finally finds her and their son about a year later in a park in London. Two great and strong characters!

I don't like abduction, drugging, and raping women. Call me funny, but I think its beyond despicable that romance authors promote the idea that women are so empty-headed that they'll agree to anything, and that stockholm syndrome apparently sets in and makes her love her idiotic captor. In just ONE of these novels I'd like the simpering heroine to stick a dinner knife in the rapist's throat, castrate him, and leave...to go find a decent man who isn't an overbearing cretin.
What the hell is the appeal of these novels? All they ever do is piss me off and make me hate the heroine for being such a 100% wuss.

He'd caught only a glimpse of her from the window of his carriage, but the young Russian prince knew he had to have her. Within minutes, Lady Katherine St. John was dragged from the London street like a common waif and carried off to a sumptuous town house - for the pleasure of her noble admirer...

This was not one of my favorite Lindsey's. It was worth the read when I got to the end but I was disappointed in how the character's "met"

Enraged & humiliated, not-tempered Lady Katherine St. John vows vengeance against the handsome Russian price who abducted her from a London street-determined to prove to the infuriationg barbarian that the "waif" he kidnapped for his pleasure is a man-eating tigress who will not be tamed.
From his first glimpse of the defiant British hellion, Prince Dimitri knoew he must have her. And though the tempestuous Katherine defies him with her fury, she will soon be a slave to his kiss. For the noble Dimitri will carry his reluctant lady to the end of the Earth, if need be-to satisfy a ravaging, all consuming hunger that neither of them can deny.
