Dr. Jane is tricks a man into getting her pregnant. Hilarity ensues as it turns out he is outraged by her action, does not feel he can trust her and wants to be part of his child's life. SEP's writing is stronger than this book's storyline -- and if anyone can sell a love story about an ethically challenged supergenious, it is she.

I thought this book had alot of charm and wit. More than a few times I caught myself laughing out loud.

I did not like this book at first. I felt uncomfortable with the situation and Cal's response, I felt, was extreme. But then they go to his hometown, and finally Jane finds her family in the Bonners. After Cal stops being an ass, he's okay but I could read and reread the relationships she develops with Cal's Granny and towards the end, Cal's mom. This story has a strong "nothing is what it seems" theme. We all have a story, it's just too bad we can't all go to Heartbreak Mountain and sit with Annie, grow a garden, dance to Rod Stewart and think things through.
SEP is one of the few women authors who do not write other female characters as the enemy! (As mom of 2 daughters, I do not want to read about warring females! ) She is always a pleasure to read!(even if Cal was an ass in the beginning)

Genius physics professor wants a baby. Her super intelligence makes her feel like a freek. She doesn’t want her child to go through this, She needs to find a special father for her child, Someone who’s… well… stupid!

Book Three in the Chicago Stars series. One of the laugh out loud funniest books I've ever read.

This was the first Phillips book for me and I couldn't put it down. I laughed and ached for the characters and theie situation that unfolded throughout the book. Great little romance novel!
